Help me RADD (Race Against Drunk Driving)
On Saturday night, September 19, 2009, Kristi McCarthy was killed by a drunk driver. Her brother, Mike, is one of the best friends I have ever had.
Kristi joined her mother, who proceeded her in death by six years, in heaven that night. She died of cancer the morning after Kristi's high school graduation.
Because her mother is not here on earth to get MADD, we can help by getting MADD in Kristi's memory.
On Saturday, November 7, seven weeks after Kristi's death, I will Race Against Drunk Driving by swimming 2.4 miles, biking 112 miles, and running 26.2 miles at Ironman Florida. My race will be for Kristi, as well as her dad, brother, and sister Katie who now have to face the world without their beloved.
Your donations will go directly to the Beaumont Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving in Kristi's memory, and will hopefully help to prevent even just one death from drunk driving.
