About Janus
Join us in our efforts to support Samaritan's Purse!
I AM AN IRONMAN! I swam 2.4 miles, biked 112 miles and then ran 26.2 miles at Ironman USA Lake Placid! In addition to the Ironman, I participated in the Janus Charity Challenge raising funds for Samaritan's Purse.
The money we raised will go toward helping my brother. He is working with a hospital in Kijabe through World Medical Mission to help set up a management information system at the hospital, so all of their services can be more efficient.
Team Samaritan’s Purse is made up of people who love the Lord and want to do something creative to help raise funds and awareness for Samaritan’s Purse projects.

***SPECIAL LETTER FROM ALAN***
Dear Friends!
So here I am, in Kenya, and you'll never believe what happened! So,
I'm here working on the hospital system in Kijabe, which is about 50
miles outside Nairobi, and it's right on the Great Rift valley.
Well... as you all maybe remember from history, the great rift valley
use to be filled with water, and a huge river. (in the 1800's).
Anyway, it was right around the time of the civil war in the united
states, when a US ironside battleship called the "Ship of Death" tried to sail across the atlantic...
A lot of people thought the ship never made it, but I wasn't so sure.
Legends around Kijabe tribes say there was a "metal beast" that came through around that time. But the river has long since dried up, burying the ship, if the legends are true! So... I've been looking for it. Why is it so important? well, the "Ship of Death" was carrying
tons of newly minted gold US dollars, which the admiral of the ship was trying to abscond with. AND I'VE FOUND IT!!!
so... that's where you come in. I've found this ship full of treasure, and I just need to get it back to the US, but Kenya has put a lock on my moving of finances. If you can send me $300, then I will be able to move this money out of Africa, back to the US and I will give you 100 times! the amount you gave me! Also, there is some chance that owning these coins will prove I am a REAL United States PRINCE! And I will appoint you to a special position in my court.
Your Friend,
Alan Files
If you want a less "high-risk" venture, you can always donate to my
fund with World Medical Mission. WMM is the non-profit through whom I am raising my support while in Africa. All donations are tax deductible, and go towards my work with the hospital here in Kijabe, as I fix their software systems, and help the whole place to run more efficiently. Donations, of any size, are a big help. If you would like
to donate, you can send your donation through my brother's charity page. Preston ran in the Ironman USA event, and is raising support for me through the Janus Charity Challenge.
THANKS!
